Disability Awareness

UC2 Delrey School’s social work department in conjunction with other professionals offers a disability awareness program for staff and students in the community schools to help them increase their understanding and tolerance of multiple disabilities, including physical disabilities such as cerebral palsy. Delrey staff use PowerPoint presentations, educational materials and hands-on demonstrations of adaptive equipment to promote Delrey students’ seamless transitions back to the local school. This service also is available to other community agencies to promote general disability awareness.
