UCP of Central Maryland

UCP Delrey School is operated by United Cerebral Palsy of Central Maryland (UCP-CM), a private, not-for-profit organization with the mission of advancing the independence, productivity, and full citizenship of individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. UCP-CM provides direct support and thousands of hours of service to more than 1,200 individuals throughout Baltimore City and 18 Maryland counties through its core programs and services, which include children’s services—such as UCP Delrey School, adult day programs and residential services, supported employment, assistive technology, respite care, and transportation. UCP-CM’s services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual served, helping to fulfill their hopes and dreams by allowing them to live as independently as possible.

Founded in 1953 by a group of parents and concerned citizens who gathered to fight for the rights of children and adults with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, UCP-CM is an affiliate of United Cerebral Palsy Associations, Inc. (UCPA). UCPA is a nationwide network of more than 100 not-for-profit organizations that value and support the rights of all persons with disabilities to be treated with respect and dignity and to exercise the same control over their lives as any other person.
