Admissions

Children with physical or multiple disabilities, sensory challenges (including deaf-blindness), as well as those who are medically fragile, can be referred to the Delrey School for intensive therapeutic and educational services. We accept referrals from parents, doctors, nurses, social workers, service coordinators, case managers, public school systems, family members and others within the community.

The first step in the Delrey School admissions process is contacting the Delrey’s social work department to schedule a free pre-admission screening. This screening consists of a family meeting with a special educator, physical therapists, occupational therapist, speech therapist, developmental pediatrician, nurse and social worker.

Then, the school will make recommendations for the child’s educational and therapeutic services based on the screening results.

Delrey School admits students throughout the school year.

Contact Dorothy Lemon-Thompson, social work administrator at 410-314-5000, x115 or e-mail dlemonthompson@unified.org to for more information about admissions or download an application.
